Measurement of Seminar Presentation Anxiety and Its Relationship with some Variables among Koya University Students

The present study aimed to identify the level of presentation anxiety among university students and to identify the level of presentation anxiety according to variables (gender, previous presentation experience, age, and level). The population consisted of students from Koya University and Equal layer randomly selected, and the sample of the study included (105) students from faculty of education at Koya university. To attain the aims of the study (Berthomay & Houlihan: 2016) presentation anxiety scale was used, which consists of )17 (items with five choices for each item. The scale was given to five educational and psychological experts, as a result, one item was removed and became )16 (items. The research approach was descriptive. After validity and reliability, the scale was applied to the sample. The data was analyzed using SPSS, the most important statistical tools used are (Cronbach's Alpha, Independent Sample T-test, Descriptive Statistics, One-way ANOVA). The stability coefficient of the scale was (0.907). The results of the study showed that the level of presentation anxiety was low among students. There are no significant differences between presentation anxiety and other variables like (gender, previous presentation experience, age, and level). At the end of the study, a set of recommendations and suggestions were presented in accordance with the results of the study.
