A Cognitive study of body - related idioms in Kurdish language

Abstract

This research is entitled (A Cognitive study of body - related idioms in Kurdish language), within the framework of cognitive linguistics, the theory that this research relies on is (Cognitive Semantics), within this theory used the theory of mental spaces (Mental spaces). The linguistic approach of perception is the approach of analytical perception, and the theory of sense space is one of the theories of perceptual semantics. cognitive linguistics, as a new school, pays attention to sensory processes and perceived abilities in the context of speech analysis The fields of language are strongly related to perceived concepts and abilities. Physical surfaces such as head, hands, mouth, tongue, heart, eyes are clearly reflected in their design Physical bodies have played a role in its design and then analyze and interpret them according to both types of sensory space, namely (basic space and constructive space). He identifies idioms according to their meanings.
