Analysis of the External Debt Evolution of Iraq for the Period (2010-2016)

The external debt crisis is one of the most important challenges facing developing countries. Therefore, the high rate of growth and accumulation of these debts has left many of these countries in a serious predicament of unsustainable debt. Iraq is one of those countries that accumulated external debt, most of which dates back to the eighth decade of the twentieth century. These debts were used to fund the requirements of the Iraq-Iran war, so this debt continued to accumulate on it for the continuation of the war conditions and the Iraq war until 2003, The regime in Iraq, after which several attempts have been made and a large part of that debt has been written off and the rescheduling of another part, but it still represents large amounts of Iraq. The aim of the research is to verify the possibility of financial authority in Iraq to achieve financial sustainability during the period of research based on a number of indicators adopted in this field and compare its results with the results of these indicators for developing countries for the same period, in addition to comparison with the indicative values of these indicators set by organizations and institutions Such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank.
