للتكنولوجيا تأثيرات كبيرة على جميــع مجالات العلـوم ، بما في ذلك تدريس اللغة. في الاونـة الاخيرة إكتسبت طريقة الفصل المقـلوب (FCM) - وهي طريقة تدريس جديدة نسبيًا لها روابط قوية مع التكنولوجيا- شعبية وجذبت انتباه الكثير من المعلمين. وقد اثبتت المئات من الدراسات السابقة في مختلف مجالات العلوم ، بما في ذلك تدريس اللغة ، فعالية هذه الطريقة في تطوير اداء الطلبة. وبهذا الخصوص، تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التحقق من تأثير طريقة الفصل المقلوب على مهارة القراءة لدى طلبة الجامعة الكورد الدراسين للغة الانجليزية كلغة اجنبية. وكما تهدف أيضًا إلى الكشف عن تأثير هذا الاسلوب في تنمية استقلالية الطلاب وتحفيزهم،وإلى معرفة مدى رضا الطلاب عن اتباع هذه في فصولهم الدراسية. شارك في الدراسة 60 طالبًا من المرحلة الاولى في قسم اللغة الإنجليزية ، كلية التربية ، جامعة جرمو، وذلك في الفصل الدراسي الثاني من العام الدراسي 2021-2022. فجرى تقسيم الطلاب إلى مجموعتين متساويتين: مجموعة ضابطة مكونة من 30طالباً ومجموعة تجريبية وعددها 30 طاباً. وقد قام الاستاذ ذاته بتدريس عين المنهج لكلتا المجموعتين من قبل لمدة 15 أسبوعًا. ولغرض جمع البيانات المطلوبة، استخدم الباحث ثلاث طرق  إذ قام بإجراء اختبارات قبلية وبعدية مع استبيان ومقابلة. وكشفت نتائج الاختبارات باستخدام برنامج SPSS عن وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين إنجازات المجموعتين لصالح المجموعة التجريبية ( (T = -3.306 ، P = 0.002)). إضافة الى ذلك ، أظهرت نتائج الاستبيان والمقابلة بوضوح أن طلاب المجموعة التجريبية لديهم تصورات إيجابية حول تطبيق طريقة الفصل المقلوب في فصولهم، وأنّ هذه الطريقة قد طورت استقلالية الطلاب وزاداتهم تحفيزاً على الدراسة. وختاماً، توصي الدراسة باستخدام طريقة الفصل المقلوب في تدريس مهارات أخرى ومهارات ثانوية مثل المحادثة والكتابة وتعلّم القواعد.
