Investment Environment and Sustainable Development in Kurdistan Region - Iraq

Abstract

The investment environment is one of the most important issues related to competitiveness in attracting foreign direct investment as a main source of financing investments in the productive and service sectors in light of the scarcity of domestic resources. The development of these sectors contributes to job creation, reducing poverty in the society and raising the standard of living of citizens. The policy of diversification of the production base remained a part of sustainable development indicators. 

The research aims to identify the investment environment and analyze the indicators of sustainable development in the Kurdistan Region to learn about its reality and the challenges. The research concluded with a number of conclusions reached and then presented a number of suggestions to benefit from planning for sustainable development in the Kurdistan region.
